Three Things this WEEEEEK!

This Thursday night tune in for Musical Remedies with the Night Nurse on Takoma Community radio 94.3 WOWD / streaming - https://takomaradio.org/ . I'll be joining the Night Nurse around 8pm for a conversation about the intersection of my art and the music I listen to, Vinyl Vagabonds, and to spin a short set of vinyl.

And this coming Saturday the 15th is the Artists by the Tracks Winter Open Studios in Mt. Ranier. I'll be toiling away in my studio, Otis Street Arts Project from Noon till 5ish. Drop in to see some new in-progress, and old works, pick up a few zines, and even have a quick drawing made for you. Visit the largest cluster of studios in the Gateway Arts District as we open our doors to the public plus special one day only vendors! Rumor is there will also be live chainsaw portraiture! https://www.facebook.com/events/317805565473004/

As if that isn't enough, l'll have a brand new holiday themed stocking stuffer mini-comic available for purchase. By brand new I mean it's not done yet!

Lastly, also on Saturday the 15th I'll have 13 affordable small works as part of Everything Must Show! gallery pop-up at Milkboy Arthouse from 3-7pm. https://www.facebook.com/events/262086607790195/ I plan to be there from 5ish till the end at 7pm.

So many arts to art!

Please share!

CDB 10 18

Here are some of the portraits from the Cartoonists Draw Blood event at Palisades Community Church over the weekend.  The Red Cross did their part to drain some veins and we artists made some arts for those folks.  It was a lovely day of 'tooning in conjunction with DC Design Week and AIGA.

If you like what you see here and by any chance are looking for a unique gift for the holiday season, message me dccreeper1 at the gmail.  Commissions like these are quick, fun, and affordable.

Till next time!

Cartoonists Draw Blood Anthology - Monsters Edition

Members of DC based, Cartoonists Draw Blood (CDB) have created a brand new anthology of Monster themed comics, set to debut soon.  My story, "Beware of Earth," is in the book along with a gaggle of other local DC area comic heavies.  I'll have copies available at Small Press Expo (SPX), September 15-16.  Come and find me tabling with the DC Conspiracy, table G8 - G12.  Also will have brand new books from Vinyl Vagabonds, Thank You for Your Cooperation, and more.Since we're a bunch of raging do-gooders, a portion of the proceeds are donated to the Red Cross in supporting their mission. Founded in 2013, CDB works in association with American Red Cross and National Cartoonists Society, Washington. These DC area cartoonists have clotted together to help keep the local blood banks well-stocked.  The next blood drive they will be supporting is scheduled for October 20th at The Palisades Community Church in DC.
